The Belgian jumping team won the nations cup for the second time in the history of CHIO Rotterdam and for the first time since 1950. They could count on two BWP-horses for this.
Vice-Belgian champion Igor (Emerald van 't Ruytershof x Nabab de Reve) of breeder Maarten Van Waes jumped two clear rounds with Jos Verlooy. Pieter Devos and Espoir (Surcouf de Revel x Laudanum) from Johan Lannoo's breeding also contributed. They jumped a clear first round, in the second round the victory was already in and they did not have to jump their second time anymore.
In the Grand Prix on Friday night, we saw two BWPs in the top five. Inonstop van 't Voorhof (Nonstop x Fortuin - breeder Frans Voeten) finished fourth with Arthur Gustavo Da Silva. Olivier Philippaerts and Ikker (Ogano Sitte x Up To Date - breeder Roger Van Nuffelen) finished in fifth place.
Reigning World Champion Jeroen Dubbeldam jumped in the 1m50 series to victory with Gioia van het Neerenbosch (Nagano x Skippy II - breeder Peter Van Loon).
