Sunday afternoon, two BWP breeders had a big smile when they entered the arena in Lanaken for the prize-giving ceremony of the World Championship for 6-year-old horses. Rony Thys is the breeder of the 6yo World Champion Mystic van 't Hoogeinde (Echo van 't Spieveld x Darco). As the last but one combination to start, Jeroen De Winter and Mystic won the gold medal. Mystic is a daugther of Geena van 't Roosakker. This mare line also produced Kerswin van 't Roosakker (also by Echo van 't Spieveld), which offspring won the 5-year-olds championship in 2015.
Hardly 24 hours after Kannabis van de Bucxtale won the title of Belgian Champion, his half brother Mano Negra van de Bucxtale (Mylord Carthago x Concorde), bred by BVBA Feniram, won a bronze medal under the Brazilian rider Thiago Ribas da Costa. The German lady rider Angelique Rusen ended fifth with Mandato van de Neerheide (Emerald van 't Ruytershof x Pommeau du Heup, bred by Eric Van Giel.
