Ohio vd Padenborre was 27 years old.
The stallion is a son of Quidam de Revel from the well-known mare Himalaya vd Padenborre, from the breeding of André Leemans.
As a foal, the stallion lost an eye, but that did not stop him from building an international career. Ulrich Kirchhoff, Nico Leemans, Stany Van Paesschen and Dominique Hendrickx were all the riders of this stallion.
In 1994, Ohio was admitted for BWP as a breeding stallion. He grew into a progenitor because a while later he was crowned Ambassador, based on the performances of his offspring.
