The BWP Award, sponsored by KBC, is attributed each year to someone who made a special contribution to horse breeding and equestrian sport. This year, the award went to Herman De Brabander. This breeder is a modest man, but his horses jump themselves in the spotlights. His best horse at the moment surely is Flora de Mariposa, a For Pleasure daughter who performs at the highest level under Pénélope Leprévost. Herman himself, belonging to the BWP region Sint-Niklaas, has been president of BWP Eastern Flanders for many years, he was a member of the BWP Board and he assisted in organizing the transition in the BWP management. This year, he will pass on the provincial presidency. To honour his great contribution to BWP, he was given the BWP Award by Patrick Wuytack on behalf of BWP sponsor KBC.
