Both horses have an international performing mother. Jonsaunier was bred from the combination of Vertigo Saint-Benoit and Whitney of the Dwerse Hagen (Codex x Feo). Jivaro in turn is a son of Daytona de Muze (Cento x Nabab de Reve) and Diamant de Semilly.
Jakarta Royale DS, which became fourth, comes out of the same mare line as Baldo DS (Kannan), D'Atlantique Royale (Darco) and Athena (Kannan). The latter is the grandmother of Jakarta (Arko III x Darco, f Dion Soens).
